John Whitbread is a manager at General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada (GDMS-C) leading a multi-
functional team developing communications products. John has a passion for learning and a strong
desire to encourage others they can do anything they put their minds to. John devotes professional time
and volunteers personal time to mentoring and to developing programs for people interested in science
and technology. Through science and engineering presentations to elementary students, mentoring high
school students in robotics and electronics and developing job placement programs, John demonstrates
science and engineering are accessible career choices for young people. John dreams of launching
products of his own someday.
